| TLC BioSciences' Degenerative Arthritis Drug Completes Japanese Clinical Trial 20 August, 2026 TLC BioSciences (TW: 7924) announced that its long-acting osteoarthritis drug candidate TLC599 has completed the last patient last visit (LPLV) in a Japanese pharmacokinetic (PK) trial, paving the way for a multinational Phase III trial in the US and Japan, and strengthening the company's position in licensing negotiations with leading Japanese pharmaceutical companies. | Lotus Pharmaceutical's Generic Drug Receives Japanese Marketing Approval 20 August, 2026 Lotus Pharmaceutical (TW: 1795) announced that its generic pomalidomide capsule, the generic version of POMALYST, has received marketing approval from Japan's Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), in 1mg, 2mg, 3mg, and 4mg strengths. The approval marks Lotus's second product to gain Japanese authorization following its generic lenalidomide in 2023. | Genovior Capital Increase to Accelerate Drug Development and Commercialization 19 August, 2026 Genovior (TW: 6917) announced that it has received regulatory approval for its 2026 cash capital increase, planning to issue 6,000 lots of new shares at NT$32 per share to raise NT$192 million to support its drug development and commercialization efforts. | PharmaEssentia Expands Indications for Ropeg 17 August, 2026 PharmaEssentia (TW: 6446) is further expanding the therapeutic applications of its drug Ropeg (P1101). The company announced on August 16th that it has submitted an application to Taiwan's Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) to expand Ropeg's indication for essential thrombocythemia (ET) to all adult patients, regardless of treatment line. | Trust Bio-sonics' Next-Gen Contrast Agent Enters US Phase III; Taiwan Trial Readout Nears 14 August, 2026 On August 13th Trust Bio-sonics announced that its next-generation ultrasound microbubble contrast agent, TBS-002, has enrolled the first patient in its US Phase III trial (NH002). The trial will enroll 150 participants and is expected to complete enrollment and unblinding in 2027. Meanwhile, the Taiwan Phase III trial of TBS-002 has completed enrollment and is expected to be unblinded soon. The company said the clinical trial, approved by the US FDA, is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of TBS-002 in enhancing image quality during clinical echocardiography. More...
