Elixiron Immunotherapeutics reveals highlights from interim Phase II Alzheimer's trial data

The official Chinese and English names for Trogarzo have now been approved, marking the final step before obtaining marketing authorization and commercial launch. TaiMed stated that Orient Europharma will proceed to submit the required documentation, including the package insert and related materials, in accordance with regulations. AI repurposes routine chest X-rays to catch silent bone loss before fracture

Osteoporosis is a silent disease where bone loss develops gradually before fractures occur. Current clinical screening recommendations mainly focus on older women and selected high-risk groups, leaving some men, younger adults, and individuals with normal body weight completely outside routine screening pathways.

To close this care gap, researchers from St. Paul's Hospital and National Taiwan University have demonstrated how AI can leverage routine chest X-rays to detect asymptomatic bone loss, closing critical gaps in screening healthy Asian populations. Biotech community mourns the passing of Samuel Yin

The local biotech community mourns the passing of Samuel Yin, one of Taiwan's most influential philanthropists and biotech advocates. Yin provided major support to higher education, biomedical research, healthcare, and innovation, donating extensively to institutions including National Tsing Hua University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Chengchi University, Academia Sinica. He also helped establish Taiwan's first heavy ion cancer therapy center at Taipei Veterans General Hospital through a NT$1.5 billion contribution and ensuring that 2% of treatments would be provided free to underprivileged patients. He later donated more than NT$2.1 billion for a new hospital staff dormitory. Yin supported pioneering biotech entrepreneurs, fostered international collaborations, and built a business presence spanning drug development, CRO services, venture investment, and healthcare distribution. His contributions also included funding the Samuel C. C.
