Taiwan Bio Therapeutics partners with world-leading Mayo Clinic

Taiwan Bio Therapeutics (TW: 6892) announced on the 17th of May that its board has approved a technology licensing and equity investment agreement between its US subsidiary Singulera Therapeutics and the world's top-ranked medical center, Mayo Clinic, for next-generation CAR-Treg (chimeric antigen receptor regulatory T-cell) technology. Through the deal, Mayo Clinic will become an important strategic shareholder in Taiwan Bio Therapeutics by contributing technology as equity.

Under the preliminary agreement, Singulera Therapeutics will obtain exclusive global development and commercialization rights to the next-generation CAR-Treg technology from Mayo Clinic, while providing an 8% equity stake as the upfront licensing fee. More... (in Chinese)
